Raw material selection and pretreatment

The quality of limestone has a significant impact on the calcination effect. High quality limestone with high CaCO3 content, low impurities, and moderate particle size should be selected. Before entering the kiln, the limestone is sieved to remove particles that are too large or too small, ensuring uniform particle size, generally controlled between 50-150 millimeters. This ensures even heat distribution during the calcination process and improves the quality of lime.

Reasonable use of fuel

Select suitable fuels such as coke, anthracite, etc. based on the scale and process requirements of the lime vertical kiln. Strictly control the ratio and supply of fuel to ensure full combustion of the fuel. During the combustion process, pay attention to adjusting the air volume to ensure sufficient mixing of fuel and air, avoiding incomplete combustion or excess air, in order to improve thermal efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

Temperature and time control

The calcination temperature and time are key factors affecting the quality of lime. Generally speaking, the calcination temperature of lime vertical kiln should be controlled between 1000-1200 ℃. If the temperature is too low and the lime calcination is incomplete, there will be a phenomenon of raw burning; If the temperature is too high, it may cause lime to overheat and reduce its activity. At the same time, it is necessary to control the calcination time reasonably based on factors such as the particle size and composition of limestone, to ensure that the lime reaches the ideal firing degree.

Ventilation regulation inside the kiln

Good ventilation is an important condition for ensuring the normal operation of lime vertical kilns. By adjusting the air inlet and outlet inside the kiln, controlling the air volume and speed, the airflow distribution inside the kiln is made uniform. Poor ventilation can lead to uneven temperature inside the kiln, affecting the quality of lime; Excessive ventilation will increase heat loss. Therefore, the ventilation volume should be adjusted in a timely manner according to the actual situation inside the kiln.

Equipment maintenance and upkeep

Regularly inspect and maintain the equipment of the lime vertical kiln, including the kiln body, refractory materials, transmission devices, etc. Timely replace worn parts to ensure the normal operation of the equipment. At the same time, lubrication and anti-corrosion work should be done well to extend the service life of the equipment and ensure the stability and continuity of the lime calcination process.
