Rotary kiln technology is widely used, and China's independently developed lime rotary kiln series products with vertical preheaters and vertical coolers have been widely promoted in China, with a design and production capacity ranging from 250t/d to 1200t/d. This technology has significant advantages and can use various fuels such as coal powder, calcium carbide furnace gas, etc. The heat consumption is as low as 1150 × 4.18kJ/kg or less, the electricity consumption is below 45kwh/t, and it can achieve large-scale production. Large rotary kilns with a daily output of over 1000 tons have become mainstream.
The dual chamber vertical kiln technology is characterized by the principle of parallel flow thermal storage roasting, and has the minimum heat consumption recognized by the lime production industry. The domestically designed double chamber vertical kiln has a design capacity ranging from 120t/d to 800t/d, with a gas fuel heat consumption as low as 850 × 4.18kJ/kg and a power consumption of 40kwh/t. The kiln lining has a lifespan of 3-6 years and can flexibly adapt to various fuels.
Sleeve kiln technology was introduced to China in the 1980s, and typical kiln specifications on the market include 150t/d, 300t/d, 500t/d, 600t/d. Its operation is simple, the product quality is stable, the activity is above 360ml, the gas fuel heat consumption is 900 × 4.18kJ/kg, the power consumption is 40kwh/t, and the kiln lining life can also reach 3-6 years.
Since the localization of beam kiln technology in 2000, more than 200 beam lime kilns with a capacity of 100t/d to 500t/d have been built domestically and exported to foreign countries. It is suitable for various fuels, and when the production operation is normal, the lime activity can reach over 350ml, the energy consumption can reach 900 × 4.18kJ/kg, and the power consumption can reach 30kWh/t.
