Ignition method for mixed fired lime vertical kiln
The mixed fired lime vertical kiln is an important lime production equipment that converts limestone into quicklime by calcining solid fuels such as coal, coke, etc. Ignition is the primary step in the operation of a mixed fired lime vertical kiln, and its success or failure directly affects the subsequent production efficiency and product quality. The following is a detailed ignition method for mixed fired lime vertical kiln.
1、 Preparation work
Before ignition, a comprehensive inspection of the mixed lime vertical kiln is required. This includes checking whether the kiln body, combustion system, ventilation system, feeding system and other equipment are operating normally, as well as cleaning up debris and dust inside the kiln to ensure cleanliness and tidiness. At the same time, prepare the necessary fuel for ignition, such as coal, coke, etc., and ensure the quality and sufficient supply of the fuel. In addition, it is necessary to check the ignition system, such as the igniter, spark plug, ignition cable, etc., to ensure their normal operation. Preparing necessary tools and equipment, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, fire extinguishers, etc., is also essential.
2、 Security check
Safety is the primary consideration during the ignition process. Before ignition, it is necessary to inspect the environment around the mixed lime vertical kiln to ensure that there are no flammable or explosive materials. Check the sealing of the kiln body to ensure there is no air leakage. At the same time, check the ventilation system to ensure good ventilation and eliminate harmful gases inside the kiln. Check electrical equipment to ensure good grounding and avoid electrical accidents. Finally, check the personal protective equipment of the operators, such as safety helmets, work clothes, gloves, etc., to ensure their safety.
3、 Preparation before ignition
Add fuel to the burner and adjust the fuel supply and burner damper. Open the ventilation system to ensure sufficient oxygen supply inside the kiln. Ignite the igniter and introduce the flame into the burner. Gradually increase the supply of fuel to ensure stable combustion of flames in the burner.
4、 Ignition operation
The screened quicklime is loaded into the kiln, usually at a position 0.5-1m away from the refractory bricks in the calcination zone. After reaching the specified height, conduct a discharge test to confirm that the feeding surface drops evenly.
Lay fully dried wood with a diameter of 40-60mm and a length of 250-300mm on top of quicklime, with a thickness of approximately 20-30cm. To ensure good ignition, remove an appropriate amount of kerosene (waste oil).
Put 7-8 ignited torches evenly and quickly into the furnace to ignite the firewood at the same time.
After 5-10 minutes of ignition, the flame spreads and gradually increases the blowing intensity.
When the firewood burns 30-40% and the fire is strong, pour the specified amount of fuel into the furnace in three parts.
Start extinguishing the flames when they are strong, and use a bucket or other equipment to pour in the specified amount of limestone. While observing the fire, increase the air supply and repeat the operation of adding limestone and fuel.
5、 Subsequent operations and precautions
After ignition, it is necessary to continuously observe the combustion situation and temperature changes inside the kiln, and adjust the fuel supply and ventilation system air volume in a timely manner. At the same time, attention should be paid to the pressure changes inside the kiln to avoid situations where the pressure is too high or too low. In addition, when cleaning the lime inside the kiln, attention should be paid to the safety of the operators. Throughout the entire process, it is necessary to regularly check the operation of equipment and systems, and promptly identify and troubleshoot any malfunctions.
The ignition method of the mixed fired lime vertical kiln needs to be flexibly adjusted according to the actual situation to ensure successful ignition and smooth subsequent production.
