The plywood hot press machine is the core equipment in the plywood production process, mainly composed of three parts: the hot press machine body, the control drive part (hydraulic system and electric control system), and the heating system. During the production process, various malfunctions may occur in the hot press machine, affecting production efficiency and product quality.
1、 Oil cylinder leakage
Oil cylinder leakage is one of the common faults in hot press machines, mainly caused by inadequate sealing or wear of the sealing ring, as well as corrosion of the piston surface. To address this issue, the following measures can be taken:
Adjust or replace the sealing ring: Regularly inspect the sealing ring and replace it promptly if wear or inadequate sealing is found.
Check the surface of the piston: Inspect the surface of the piston and replace it if severe corrosion is found.
2、 The press cannot start the car
The failure of the compressor to start may be caused by various reasons, including the failure of the main valve, the failure of the low-pressure pump to deliver oil, the failure of the accumulator oil delivery valve to open or the low air pressure, as well as pipeline rupture or joint detachment. Exclusion methods include:
Check the return oil condition of the main valve: If the main valve fails, promptly repair it.
Check the low-pressure pump, accumulator valve, and air pressure: Ensure that the low-pressure pump is working properly, the accumulator valve is open, and the air pressure meets the requirements.
Check the pipeline: Carefully inspect the pipeline and promptly repair any cracks or loose joints found.
3、 Unable to open high voltage
The inability to open high pressure may be caused by inadequate sealing of the main valve, high-pressure check valve, or pipeline check valve, malfunction of the high-pressure pump, low spring pressure of the high-pressure safety valve, or oil leakage in the pipeline. The solutions include:
Check all valves: Ensure that the main valve, high-pressure check valve, and pipeline check valve are tightly sealed.
Check the high-pressure pump: If the high-pressure pump is found to be malfunctioning, conduct maintenance.
Check the high-pressure safety valve: Adjust the pressure of the high-pressure safety valve to ensure that the pressure meets the requirements.

5、 The temperature of the hot press plate cannot rise

Check the hot press plate that cannot be heated up: if the steam channel is blocked, clean it in a timely manner.
6、 Inconsistent lifting of hot press plate
Inconsistent lifting of the hot press plate may be caused by the sealing ring being pressed too tightly or the sealing ring size being incorrect. The solutions include:
Loosen the sealing ring and pressure ring: If the sealing ring is pressed too tightly, loosen the pressure ring appropriately.

7、 Quality issues with plywood
In addition to the mechanical failures mentioned above, the hot press may also cause quality issues with plywood, such as bubbling, delamination, and uneven thickness. These problems may be caused by various reasons, including uneven coating, insufficient hot pressing temperature and time, and excessive moisture content in the veneer. The solutions include:
Control the amount of glue applied: Ensure that the amount of glue applied is moderate and uniform.
Adjust the hot pressing temperature and time: Adjust the hot pressing temperature and time according to the type and requirements of the plywood.
Control the moisture content of the veneer: Ensure that the moisture content of the veneer is within a reasonable range.
