How to reduce energy consumption in lime kiln
Lime shaft kiln is a key equipment for lime production, and energy consumption costs account for a significant proportion of enterprise operations. Under the pressure of the "dual carbon" target and market competition, it is urgent to reduce its energy consumption, which can be addressed from the following aspects:
Refinement of raw material pretreatment: The particle size and purity of limestone directly affect the energy consumption of calcination. Crush limestone to a reasonable particle size range (such as 40-80mm) to avoid insufficient calcination and increased energy consumption caused by oversized particles, or increased ventilation resistance and energy consumption caused by undersized particles in the kiln. At the same time, by using mineral processing technology to remove impurities, improve raw material activity, and reduce calcination heat load, fuel consumption can be reduced by about 3% -5%.
Intelligent combustion system: Traditional shaft kiln combustion relies heavily on manual experience, which can easily lead to fuel waste. Introducing an intelligent combustion control system, real-time monitoring of parameters such as temperature, pressure, and oxygen concentration inside the kiln, precise control of fuel and air ratio, ensuring full combustion of fuel, reducing excess air coefficient, and minimizing heat loss carried away by flue gas can reduce energy consumption by 5% -8%.
Efficient waste heat recovery: The flue gas from the shaft kiln carries a large amount of waste heat, which is directly discharged and causes energy waste. Adding waste heat recovery devices, such as heat exchangers, to use flue gas waste heat for preheating combustion air or drying raw materials can increase thermal efficiency by 8% -10% and reduce overall energy consumption.
Through multi link collaborative optimization, the energy consumption of lime shaft kiln will be significantly reduced, helping enterprises to reduce costs, increase efficiency and achieve sustainable development.
