How to Extend the Service Life of Single Board Spinning Machine Cutting Tools
As the core component of wood processing, the service life of veneer peeling machine cutting tools directly affects production efficiency and cost. Through scientific maintenance and reasonable operation, the tool life can be significantly extended. The following are key measures:
1、 Standardize operational procedures
Strictly control the feeding speed and wood moisture content (recommended 8% -12%) to avoid excessive local stress on the cutting tool due to the hardness or uneven humidity of the wood. Maintain a uniform feeding speed during operation to prevent the tool from collapsing or deforming due to impact. Regularly clean the cutterhead and wood debris to prevent impurities from embedding into the cutting seam and exacerbating wear.
2、 Strengthen daily maintenance
After daily use, special tools should be used to clean the resin and sawdust on the surface of the blade to prevent residual corrosive substances. Check the tool fastening bolts weekly to ensure there is no looseness. Regularly grind the blade lightly with an oilstone or a grinder to maintain its sharpness (recommended grinding angle of 15 ° -20 °) and avoid increasing cutting force due to passivation.
3、 Optimize storage environment
When the cutting tools are idle, they should be coated with anti rust oil and stored in a dry and ventilated place to avoid contact with humid environments or corrosive gases. When the tool is not in use for a long time, it needs to be disassembled and cleaned, wrapped in dust-proof cloth, and hung vertically to prevent deformation of the cutting edge.
Through the above measures, the tool wear rate can be effectively reduced, and the quality of single board processing and overall equipment efficiency can be improved.
