The uneven thickness of the veneer rotary cutting machine results in serious waste of sheet metal
In the wood processing industry, the stability of veneer rotary cutting machines directly affects the quality and production efficiency of veneers. However, the problem of uneven thickness in rotary cutting is widespread, which not only affects the product qualification rate, but also causes serious waste of raw materials and increases production costs.
1、 The main reason for uneven thickness of rotary cutting
Mechanical wear of equipment: After long-term use, key components such as tool holder guide rails and lead screws wear, resulting in a decrease in feed accuracy and fluctuations in single board thickness during rotary cutting.
Unstable hydraulic system: Hydraulic oil contamination, oil pressure fluctuations, or aging of valve components can cause inconsistent feed rates in the tool holder, affecting the uniformity of the veneer.
Poor clamping of wooden sections: Loose clamping shafts or worn fixtures can cause the wooden sections to bounce during rotation, resulting in changes in cutting thickness.
Tool factors: Wear of the rotary cutter, improper blade angle, or inaccurate installation can all affect cutting quality.
2、 Waste caused by uneven thickness
Increased loss of raw materials: unevenly thick veneers need to be reworked or scrapped, resulting in a decrease in wood utilization and serious waste.
Subsequent processing difficulties: Uneven veneers are prone to delamination, bubbling, and other issues during plywood pressing, increasing the scrap rate.
Decreased production efficiency: Frequent adjustment of equipment or replacement of cutting tools affects production rhythm and reduces overall production capacity.
3、 Improvement measures
Strengthen equipment maintenance: Regularly inspect key components such as tool holders, guide rails, and lead screws, replace worn parts in a timely manner, and ensure feed accuracy.
Optimize hydraulic system: Keep hydraulic oil clean, regularly check oil pressure stability, and upgrade high-precision servo control system if necessary.
Improve the fixing method of wooden sections: use high-precision clamping shafts or pneumatic fixtures to reduce vibration during the rotation of wooden sections.
Reasonably adjust tool parameters: regularly grind the rotary cutting tool to ensure a sharp edge, and adjust the cutting angle according to the characteristics of the wood.
Through the above measures, the problem of uneven veneer thickness can be effectively reduced, the utilization rate of wood can be improved, production costs can be reduced, and the market competitiveness of enterprises can be enhanced.
