Operating principle of wood veneer rotary cutting machine
Wood veneer rotary cutting machine is the key equipment to produce veneer. Its working principle is based on the fixed axis rotation of wood and the linear feed of cutter.
During rotary cutting, the wood section is clamped by the left and right clamping shafts and rotates with the clamping shaft. The rotary cutter is installed on the cutter bed, the cutter edge is parallel to the axis of the clamp shaft, and the straight feed motion is carried out along the direction perpendicular to the axis of the wood section. For each rotation of the wood section, the feed of the cutter bed remains unchanged, and this feed determines the thickness of the single plate cut by rotation.
In the rotary cutting process, the relative motion between the rotary knife and the wood segment forms cutting, and the wood segment is rotated into continuous veneer belt along the annual ring direction. In order to obtain a high quality veneer, the wood usually needs to be digested prior to rotary cutting to improve its plasticity and cutting properties. At the same time, it is also necessary to press the chips with a pressure gauge to reduce the cutting angle and use the appropriate cutting speed.
The rotary cutting machine can be divided into the one with clamping and the one without clamping. With a snap-on rotary cutting machine for large diameter wood, while without a snap-on rotary cutting machine for small diameter logs, which can reduce the diameter of the remaining wood core and improve the wood utilization rate. With the development of science and technology, CNC rotary cutting machine is gradually popularized, improving the quality and production efficiency of veneer.
