Common problems and solutions of lime kiln feeding system
The stability and continuity of the lime kiln feeding system are the primary factors in ensuring the smooth operation of the kiln. Once the system malfunctions, it will directly affect the production pace and product quality. Here are several common problems and their corresponding solutions.
1、 Belt deviation and material scattering
Problem phenomenon: The conveyor belt is worn on one side, and materials are scattered during operation.
Cause analysis: The main causes are adhesive material on the drum, ineffective rotation of the idler roller, or failure of the self-aligning idler roller.
Solution: Immediately stop the machine and clean the adhesive on the surface of the drum; Check and replace non rotating rollers; Regularly adjust the belt tension and centering device.
2、 The hopper is blocked or stuck
Problem phenomenon: The hopper is not smooth during lifting or flipping, and may even get stuck.
Cause analysis: Excessive particle size or foreign objects such as metals are mixed into limestone; Wear and deformation of mechanical components.
Solution: Strictly control the feeding particle size and install a grid screen or iron remover at the feeding port; Shutdown inspection, remove foreign objects; Repair and replace deformed hoppers or worn chains.
3、 Inaccurate weighing and uneven distribution of fabric
Problem phenomenon: The batch feeding amount fluctuates greatly, and the material surface in the kiln is uneven.
Cause analysis: Drifting of weighing sensors or interference from external forces; The walking track of the fabric cart is uneven or there is a transmission failure.
Solution: Regularly perform zeroing and calibration verification on the symmetrical quantity system; Clean and calibrate the track of the fabric cart to ensure smooth movement and accurate landing.
4、 Program Interruptions and Electrical Malfunctions
Problem phenomenon: The feeding process is interrupted without reason, and the on-site control cabinet alarms.
Cause analysis: Limit switch failure, motor overload protection, or PLC program disorder.
Solution: Check and reset each limit switch and protector; Restart the control system; If it occurs frequently, it is necessary to investigate the circuit and program logic.
The maintenance of the feeding system lies in prevention. Persist in daily inspections, listen to the sound of equipment operation, pay attention to lubrication conditions, in order to prevent problems and ensure the continuous and efficient production of lime kilns.
