How to check and repair the sealing of the lime kiln door
Good sealing of lime kiln doors is the key to ensuring efficient and stable production. The following are methods for checking and repairing the sealing of kiln doors.
Inspection Method
Firstly, during the normal operation of the lime kiln, observe whether there is obvious hot air or smoke escaping around the kiln door. If there is, it is preliminarily judged that there is a sealing problem. Secondly, after closing the kiln door, use a flashlight to check the gap between the kiln door and the kiln body to see if there is any light passing through. If there is light, it indicates that the seal is not tight. Professional sealing testing equipment can also be used to perform pressure testing on the kiln door and accurately locate the leakage point.
Repair method
For smaller gaps, high-temperature resistant sealant can be used for filling. If the sealing strip of the kiln door is damaged, it should be replaced with a new sealing strip in a timely manner to ensure a tight fit with the kiln door and body. For the sealing problem caused by the deformation of the kiln door, it is necessary to calibrate the kiln door to restore its flatness. After the repair is completed, perform a sealing check again to ensure no air leakage and ensure the normal production of the lime kiln.
