Quality requirements for materials used in the construction of environmentally friendly lime kilns
The stable operation and long-term service life of environmentally friendly lime kilns are based on the quality of materials used in the construction process. The quality of materials is directly related to the structural safety, insulation performance, operational efficiency, and pollutant emission control level of the kiln body, therefore strict quality standards must be established.
Refractory materials are the core of kiln lining, and their quality is crucial. High alumina bricks or magnesia alumina spinel bricks with high refractoriness, good thermal stability, and high strength must be selected to withstand the high-temperature chemical erosion and material scouring during the limestone decomposition stage. The insulation layer material should choose ceramic fiber blankets or lightweight insulation bricks with low thermal conductivity and good insulation performance to reduce kiln heat loss and improve thermal efficiency. The plates and profiles used in the steel structure of the kiln shell must comply with the design requirements of the grade and specifications, have qualified strength and heat resistance, and ensure the stability of the overall structure.
The selection of sealing materials directly affects the airtightness and environmental indicators of the kiln body. High temperature resistant sealing materials must be used at the connections of kiln doors, observation holes, etc. to ensure that the air leakage rate is maintained at a low level during operation. This is crucial for controlling excessive air coefficient, reducing energy consumption, and ensuring the calcination atmosphere. Various types of conveying pipelines, valves, and their refractory lining also need to have good wear and corrosion resistance to adapt to long-term operating conditions.
Before all materials enter the site, their material certificates, factory qualification certificates, and third-party testing reports must be checked. If necessary, sampling and retesting must be conducted to ensure that their various performance indicators fully meet the design and industry standard requirements. We must not compromise material quality due to cost factors. High quality materials are the fundamental material guarantee for environmentally friendly lime kilns to achieve efficient, energy-saving, and long-term safe operation.
