The scheme for waste heat recovery and utilization of mechanized lime kilns
The mechanized lime kiln in lime production will generate a large amount of waste heat during the calcination process. If not recycled, it will not only cause energy waste, but also increase production costs. Therefore, it is crucial to develop a scientifically effective plan for waste heat recovery and utilization.
For the heat dissipation on the surface of the lime kiln body, a waste heat collection device can be installed, such as a metal shell with good thermal conductivity and a circulating water circuit, to transfer the heat lost on the surface of the kiln body to the water. The heated hot water can be used for supplying domestic water to employees in the factory area, such as bathing and canteen water, to meet their daily needs and reduce energy procurement costs.
The recovery of waste heat from lime kiln flue gas is the focus. Install a waste heat boiler at the exhaust pipe to use high-temperature flue gas to heat the water inside the boiler and generate steam. These steam can be input into steam turbines to generate electricity, providing power for lime kiln production equipment, achieving partial energy self-sufficiency, and reducing dependence on external power grids. At the same time, the generated steam can also be used by surrounding enterprises with steam demand, such as printing and dyeing factories, paper mills, etc., to increase their additional income through steam sales.
In addition, waste heat can also be used to preheat raw materials. A preheating device is installed near the feed inlet of the lime kiln to use the waste heat inside the kiln to preheat the limestone raw materials, reduce the initial heat required for the raw materials to enter the kiln for calcination, improve calcination efficiency, shorten calcination time, and further reduce energy consumption.
By implementing the above-mentioned waste heat recovery and utilization plan, mechanized lime kilns can significantly improve energy utilization efficiency, reduce production costs, achieve a win-win situation of economic and environmental benefits, and promote the sustainable development of the lime industry.
