How should the calcination temperature of lime shaft kiln equipment be controlled
The lime shaft kiln is a crucial equipment for lime production, and precise control of the calcination temperature has a significant impact on lime quality and production efficiency.
In the raw material preparation stage, the initial temperature should be reasonably set based on the quality and particle size of limestone. For high-quality limestone with uniform particle size, the initial temperature can be slightly lower to avoid local overheating; conversely, the initial temperature needs to be appropriately increased to ensure sufficient preheating.
Entering the calcination zone, this is the core area of temperature control. Generally speaking, the temperature in the calcination zone needs to be stabilized at 900 - 1200℃. If the temperature is too low, the limestone will not decompose completely, resulting in low activity; if the temperature is too high, it will not only waste energy but also lead to overburning of lime, producing dead burned lime and reducing quality. The temperature can be controlled by adjusting the fuel supply. With the use of advanced automatic control systems, fuel flow can be precisely adjusted in real time based on data fed back from temperature sensors.
The temperature control of the cooling zone cannot be overlooked. A reasonable temperature in the cooling zone can ensure slow cooling of lime, reduce grain growth, and enhance lime activity. The cooling speed and temperature can be controlled by adjusting the cooling air volume to ensure that the temperature of the lime exiting the kiln is appropriate.
Regular maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure the accuracy of temperature measuring instruments are crucial for achieving precise control of calcination temperature. Only by comprehensively managing all aspects can we achieve stable control of the calcination temperature in lime shaft kilns and produce high-quality lime products.
